Michael Warshall's reputation as one of the worlds leading Portrait and Wedding Photographers is well known, but staying on top requires dedication and a continual pursuit of excellence, new techniques and technology.
Michael has for many years been an appointed judge for the National Print awards of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography: A.I.P.P. (in which he is a Master of Photography and a Fellow).Michael has been invited to share his vast knowledge of Photography and Business Techniques with other professionals at seminars in Australia and overseas.Exchanging ideas with the world's best and finest, together with a firm commitment to excellence has made Michael Warshall an International leader in the field of Portrait and Wedding Photography and in the business of photography.Michael also became the first Australian Mentor and was commissioned by Kodak to run a series of workshops for professional photographers around Australia.

1978 Awarded Associateship of the A.I.P.P.
1982 Named Australian Professional Photographer of the Year - Awarded the honour by Lord Litchfield.
1984 Awarded a Licentiateship in the British Institute of Professional Photography.
1985 Obtained the distinction of MASTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY. This is awarded in recognition of Professional Photographic Excellence and Michael became the youngest Australian photographer ever to achieve this award in portrait and wedding photography.
1985 Awarded First Prize at the International Wedding Photographers Awards.
1985 The FIRST Australian to become a certified member of the Professional Photographers of America.
1985 Received an ASSOCIATESHIP of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain.
1986 Won numerous awards at the International Wedding Photographers International Awards.
1986 Awarded an ASSOCIATESHIP of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
1987 Awarded an ASSOCIATESHIP of the Master Photographers of Great Britain.
1988 Won first Prize at the International Wedding Photographers International Awards.
1989 Awarded the Honour of being named 1988 INTERNATIONAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR.
1990 Won numerous awards at the International Wedding Photographers International Awards.
1990 Won first prize Masters Category at the A.I.P.P. Victorian Print of the Year awards.
1991-Won second place from photographers around the world in the Bridal Category at the annual Brides Choice Competition judged in Las Vegas.
1991 Became the first Australian Mentor in Wedding and Portrait photography and was commissioned by Kodak to do a series of workshops for professional photographers around Australia.
1991 The FIRST Australian to become a resident member holding membership in ASP (American Society of Photographers).
1991 Won numerous awards at the Wedding Photographers International, including First Place in Engagement Category.
1991 Awarded FELLOWSHIP of the A.I.P.P. This is the highest honour bestowed by the Institute. It denotes continued distinguished ability with technical expertise and creative flair. Michael is the youngest person to achieve this honour.
1992 Won 3 awards at the Australian National Print awards.
1993 Won numerous awards at the Wedding Photographers International, including First Place in Special Effects Category.
1994 Won prize at British Institute of Professional Photography Awards.
In 1996, Michael took over the running of Nulab Professional Imaging, Australia’s largest and most innovative Wedding Portrait Laboratory. Nulab services professional photographers Australia wide and internationally and is always at the leading edge of new systems and technology.
Michael’s latest project is the development of a full e-commerce solution for the wedding portrait photographers in Australia and New Zealand combined with a full education facility to help each photographer grow their business. This dream has been achieved with the launch of the International Portrait Wedding Academy.
2001 Launched Nulab’s new state of the art facility in Braeside.
2002 Nulab wins ‘GIO Business Star’ award for service innovation.
2005 Launched IPWA - Permanent Luxury Training Campus at Los Cabos, Mexico and the Resort on the Mornington Peninsula.
2008 Picpress is launched to provide high quality photobooks to the professional photographers. Over the next 8 years Picpress, part of the Nulab group, becomes Australia’s most awarded digital printer.
2014 Nulab becomes the first professional lab in the world to make a full conversion from traditional silver halide to HP Indigo printing.
2015 Nulab launches Enviropix - environmentally friendly printing
2016 Nulab launches its Nuovo range of true layflat albums.
